This hooded shawl is handwoven red and black acrylic wool, beaded with black glass beads around the hood above the fringe. It features a handmade antler button closure. I added the beads on the hood to keep it weighted down during trance work while moving. The long fringe on the shawl is to give a feel like wings when you are moving or dancing. I had Dark Goddess figures like The Morrigan, Cerridwen, and Hekate in mind when I was working on it. I took inspiration for the spirals from the carving inside of Neolithic sites like Newgrange. This is a wearable piece of art but also functional for meditation, journey work, or dancing around the sacred fire.
